Tomatoes

I was totally mad this year! All my tomato plants decided to do there best work in October! You know just before there frost!
I was like are you kidding me!! So we started researching how to get them to ripen quick. Well too late I found if you pull every leaf, blossom and fruit you don't want off they will ripen. Just in a day I had some ripening but frost was coming that weekend.

Sooo... We picked every tomato washed them all. If they were turning red we placed them on the window sill or even pink. But if still green we got a Rubbermaid line with newspaper and placed them in the box in the garage every 2 days j got check and hat do you know they are ripening!! We placed them in garage cause temp needs to be 50-60 degrees. I have had a few each time. I usually transfer to windowsill. I read you could have them for 3 weeks to 3 months. So could have tomatoes in to January. Umm heck yeah!!!
These were all green when I started a week ago!!

Crayola Color and Play

I am so in love with these $1-$3 coloring books!! They are Crayola Color and Play. You use them along a Free app on Apple or google play. It brings the pictures you color to life in 3D on device.
My kids have fallen in love!! So far have played with Mickey and Disney Palace pets. We also got frozen, Sofia and saw inside out!

The Mickey one even has characters dance around!

Seasonings

Last week we made our own seasoning mixes. We used some spices getting old, some we grew, some we bought. A few of the recipes I doubled and quadrupled. We made Ranch dressing mix, Onion soup mix, Italian Dressing mix and taco seasoning. I just used old mayo containers we had.

Onion Soup Mix
2/3 Cup Dried Onions
3 teaspoons Parsley Flakes
2 teaspoons Onion Powder
2 teaspoons Turmeric (optional)
1 teaspoon Celery Salt
1 teaspoon Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Ground Pepper

Mix all ingredients together. I pulsed in my ninja a few times to make pieces a little smaller. 4 Tablespoons equals 1 packet of Onion Soup Mix

1 Tablespoon Sugar
2 Tablespoon Oregano
1 teaspoon Black Pepper
1 teaspoon Basil
1/4 teaspoon Ground Thyme

Taco Seasoning Mix

1/2 Cup Chili Powder
1/4 Cup Onion Powder
1/8 Cup Ground Cumin
1 Tablespoon Garlic Powder
1 tablespoon Paprika
1 Tablespoon Sea Salt
